CYBER LAW & SOCIETY
01 / LAW
We are interested in understanding how the legal landscape has or is changing to accommodate and respond to the challenges posed by regulating cyberspace.
02 / POLICING
We are developing an understanding of the impact of cyber crime on policing, as well as the challenges and opportunities of policing cyberspace.
03 / SECURITY
We are exploring how best individuals and businesses can prevent becoming victims of cyber crime with respect to the current legal and policy landscape.
04 / SOCIETY
We are researching the wider impact of law and policy concerning the realm of the digital on individuals and society at large.
This is the home to a number of multi-disciplinary research activities taking place at Swansea University. This project was launched with a grant under the Escalator Fund of the CHERISH Digital Economy.
We believe that disciplinary silos will keep us from developing innovative research and solutions to real-word problems. We aim to conduct multi-disciplinary research with a real world impact within the 'digital' space.
We are cnducting research into cyber crime victimisation and offending. Other areas of interest include media law, the impact of ICT on health and social care and on democracy and participation.
